My Story

About Me

I’m Vicky: Pianist, teacher of piano, music theory and classroom music lessons in rural Cheshire, and now further afield thanks to PianoToYou – making high quality tuition accessible to more children and adults through affordable video courses.

I’ve a Bachelor of Music Degree and Post Graduate Certificate in Education (teacher training qualification) and have taught to ages 4 to 94 since passing my own Grade 8 piano exam many moons ago! Whilst I may not have the best video editing skills, the latest recording equipment and a high-tech studio, I have a passion to share my love of music. I hope you’ll find something useful here today.

Why study through our video courses?

Is it different to face-to-face?

01

Flexible

Once you purchase one of our video courses you study completely in your own time at your own pace. There’s no easier way to fit learning around your life.

02

Affordable

Face-to-face lessons are a great way to learn and indeed I teach this way day-in-day-out, but they can be very pricey and don’t fit with everyone’s lifestyle, so I hope my Piano To You courses will bring great quality tuition to more people.

03

Progress and Fun

The courses are designed to help you achieve progress in a way that’s fun and satisfying. Lots of small steps help you get where you’re going! Trying to find the right path using only free resources on Youtube or similar is a minefield. Let our courses guide your progress at the right pace.

In-person/Online 1-2-1 teaching

Most of my in-person teaching is undertaken within schools and booked via Music for Life Music Service.

I do not currently have availability for any regular in-person private piano or music theory teaching, but can sometimes arrange one-off lessons, or short courses especially during UK school holidays. These could be in-person or online. I prioritise learners who are using my own online courses already. Get in touch via the contact us page about this. I work in the mid-Cheshire area.
